Summary
The process of manufacturing finished goods
in a timely and cost-effective manner requires detailed tracking of production step by
step. These steps include requirements planning, materials availability, labor allocation,
work order production, work order completion, and inventory management.
Next, the ProfiC
Work Order Module is used
to enter the actual work order. As the work order is entered, information on materials and
manpower availability is displayed for production planning. When the work order is sent to
the shop (released), the ProfiC
system
automatically commits the components used and updates the finished good as in-process for
the quantity being produced. At the same time, the system allocates the labor necessary to
complete the job and provides accurate job costing. The ProfiC
Work Orders Module then allows for full or partial
completion of the work order and performs update to inventory.
Profi'C
Bill of Materials and Inventory Control modules are required and fully integrates with Profi'C
Work Orders. |
